With the following information, we would like to provide you as a visitor of our website, as a customer or prospective user of our services, as a supplier or other data subject with an overview of our processing of your personal data and about your rights under data privacy law. Which data is processed in which case and the way they are used is based essentially on the desired or agreed-upon services. Therefore, not all of this information may apply to you.
FRÄNKISCHE processes these personal data for the following purposes:
If you have expressly given your consent to the processing of your personal data in a given case, this consent is the legal basis for any processing pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
(1) information about the browser type and version used
(2) the operating system of the user
(3) the internet service provider of the user
(4) the IP address of the user
(5) the date and time of access
(6) websites from which the system of the user is referred to our website
(7) websites which are accessed from the user’s system via our website
The data are also stored in the logfiles of our system. Storage of these data together with other personal data of the user does not take place.
Our websites use cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit our websites. We use cookies for the purpose of ensuring the provision of our websites, for marketing, for individual website optimisation and to ensure IT security. Depending on their function, the cookies store, for instance, data about language settings, search terms entered or the frequency of page views.
When you access our website, we display a so-called „cookie banner“ where you can consent to the use of cookies on this website by clicking a button and where you can make a selection of the cookies used on this website. Your selection will be stored for future visits to this website.
If you do not want cookies from being used anymore at a later point in time, you can change your selection regarding the use of cookies at any time by modifying the cookie settings in your internet browser. Here, you can, in particular, prompt the deletion of already placed cookies or prevent the placing of cookies in the future. Please note that the settings can differ depending on your browser and cannot be explained here in general terms.
Depending on their function and intended use, some cookies require consent by the user.
Cookies that are crucial for the use of our websites, for the corresponding design of the website or to ensure IT security do not require consent by the user. The placement of these cookies and processing activities in this context are permitted pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
Cookies for all other purposes such as marketing or statistical evaluations of your activities on the website, on the other hand, require your consent. The legal basis for data processing in this case is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
When using our social media and map service offerings, usage data of the respective services may be transferred to and subsequently processed in the USA. The basis for any processing activities is your declaration of consent explicitly given on the cookie banner. Pursuant to Art. 49 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR, your declaration of consent justifies such data processing by way of exception and on a case-by-case basis. Please note that the level of data protection in the USA cannot be compared to that in the EU and the EEA. In particular, it is possible for government agencies to access your personal data based on statutory authorizations without you knowing about this. There are no comparable options for legal enforcement of your rights in the USA, so pursuing this does not appear to be promising.
Any data transfer is effected automatically and only in connection with the usage of our social media and Google Maps service offerings by using cookies. For more details, please see this Data Privacy Statement in Section „XI. Using social media plugins“.
You may completely refuse the use of cookies and other technologies or make individual settings. You can also withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Any processing done before that remains unaffected by the withdrawal. Please contact our Data Protection Officer in this matter by sending an email to dsb_fraenkische@riscreen.de.

1. Data processing by us
We operate the social media pages to draw attention to our products, services, and career opportunities, to communicate with users for this purpose, and to achieve improvements.
In this context, we generally process personal data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on grounds of our legitimate interests in public relations, communication, and product improvement, unless otherwise stated.
We can view your posts and similar interactions on our social media pages as well as – depending on your privacy settings – your public profile. We may use this data to improve our information and products, particularly with regard to our social media pages.
In the event that you contact us via our social media pages, we will process your personal data provided in this context in order to process your request; in particular, to respond to enquiries. We may then respond to your enquiry via the respective social media page. In many cases, the legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (contract performance or pre-contractual measures) or, if this legal basis is not relevant, Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR on the basis of the legitimate interests resulting from the aforementioned purposes.
In addition, we may also process personal data in connection with the social media pages pursuant to the information in Section III.
As a precaution, we would like to point out that communication via the platform may be insecure. You can always contact us via other communication channels and will then also receive a response via these other channels.
Furthermore, we receive aggregated usage statistics from these platforms, which we use to evaluate usage behaviour and to improve our information offering. The usage statistics may also be compiled by the platforms on the basis of personal usage data. Further information on this can be found in the privacy policies of the respective providers linked above. Please find special information on Facebook below.
2. Processing by platform operators
We cannot influence the processing of your personal data by the respective provider. In fact, the platform operators control data processing as part of the usage of the respective service. This includes, for example, the storage and usage of cookies on user terminals as well as the analysis of your behaviour in the social network.
3. Notes on the deletion of posts
If you publish personal data on our social media pages in the form of posts, such as images, texts, or video, or interact in any other way, e.g., by clicking the Like button, your data will be processed and in many cases published. If this is inappropriate content, we may delete this content in accordance with the standard procedures and policies of the relevant platforms.
4. Supplementary information on Facebook and Instagram
When you visit our Facebook fan page and Instagram page, Facebook collects, in particular, your IP address and other information transmitted by your browser as well as, if applicable, other information available on your PC in the form of cookies. This information is used to provide us, as the owner of the Facebook fan page and Instagram page, with statistical information on the usage of the respective page (i.e., insights).
Facebook and we process the personal data as joint controllers within the meaning of Article 26 GDPR and have concluded a corresponding joint controller agreement for this purpose. The essential information regarding the corresponding agreement pursuant to Article 26 GDPR between Facebook and us is available from https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum.
Further information on data processing by Facebook within the scope of Facebook Insights is available from: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/information_about_page_insights_data.
Notwithstanding the information in the linked agreement, you can assert your data subject rights against us and Facebook.
Your data collected in this regard is processed by Facebook and may be transferred to countries outside the EU, if applicable, especially to Facebook Inc. based in the U.S. We hereby point out that Facebook is responsible in terms of data protection law for any corresponding transfer and subsequent processing operations. What kind of data Facebook will receive and how this data will be used is described in Facebook’s data privacy notice. Further information on this can be found in Facebook’s data privacy notice: http://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy
The legal basis for the processing of personal data in this context is Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interests in achieving the above-mentioned purposes) or, if consent has been obtained, Article 6 (1) lit. a, Art. 7 GDPR (consent).

In the context of data processing for the distribution of newsletters, there is no disclosure of data to third parties. In addition to the distribution of the newsletter, the data are also used to generate user profiles.
Part of this information will be automatically transferred into our customer management program and stored there for the fulfilment of the request of the ordered goods. (4) IP address of the user
(5) date and time of registration
In this context, there will be no transmission of data to third parties outside of the FRÄNKISCHE group of companies. The data will be used exclusively for processing the correspondence.
We use so-called social plug-ins by companies operating social networks on our website. The plug-ins are standalone extensions from the providers of social networks. We use plug-ins for the visitors of our website being able to share contents from our online offerings with the individual networks and to expand the radius of our online offerings.
If you do not want providers of social networks to receive, store or reuse data through this online offering, you should not use the respective plug-ins. With the so-called 2-click solution, we ensure, by default, that your visit to our website is not tracked and evaluated by providers of social networks. Personal data are transferred to operators of social networks only if you use the social plug-ins.
In the following, you will find information on the individual plug-ins used on your website.
Please obtain information on further processing and use of data by LinkedIn as well as your rights in this respect and setting options for protecting your privacy from LinkedIn’s data privacy statement available at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
For more information on data processing on LinkedIn, see the data privacy statement of LinkedIn available at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
For more information on data processing on XING, see the data privacy statement of XING available at https://privacy.xing.com/de/datenschutzerklaerung.
When visiting our Facebook fan site, Facebook specifically collects your IP address and other information, if applicable, available as cookies on your computer. This information is used to provide us, as the owner of the Facebook fan site, with statistical information on the usage of the Facebook site.
Your data collected in this regard will be processed by Facebook and may be transferred to countries outside the EU, if applicable. We hereby point out that Facebook is responsible in terms of data protection law for any corresponding transfer and subsequent processing operations. What kind of data Facebook will receive and how these will be used is generally described in the data protection guidelines of Facebook. For more information, please see the data privacy statement of Facebook: http://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy
Generally, when accessing an Instagram site, the IP address allocated to your terminal will be transferred to Facebook/Instagram. Facebook/Instagram indicate that this IP address will be processed in anonymized form only and will be deleted after 90 days. Additional information on the terminals of users is only stored as part of the intended use of features such as the sign-in notification.
Please obtain information on further processing and use of data by Instagram as well as your rights and setting options in this respect for protecting your privacy from Instagram’s data privacy statement available at https://help.instagram.com/519522125107875?helpref=page_content.
For our website, we use the Web Controlling Suite software tool by etracker (www.etracker.com), a German provider of web analysis software, for the analysis of the surfing behaviour of our users. The software stores a cookie on the computer of the user (see above for more information on cookies). When individual pages of our website are accessed, the following data will be stored:
(1) Three bytes of the IP address of the accessing system of the user (xxx.xxx.xxx.???)
(2) the accessed website
(3) the website from which the user was referred to the accessed website (referrer)
(4) the sub-pages opened from the accessed website
(5) the time spent on the website
(6) the frequency of accessing the website
The analysis software runs exclusively on the servers of etracker. Storage of personal data of users will not take place because the IP address is being anonymised. The software is configured in such a way that the IP addresses will not be stored completely, but 1 byte of the IP address will be masked (e.g.: xxx.xxx.xxx.???). This renders an association of the shortened IP address with the accessing computer impossible.
Data will not be transferred to third parties. If required, we will export reports from the anonymised data stored by etracker for statistical purposes.
Please refer to the following link for more information about the privacy settings of the etracker software: https://www.etracker.com/en/data-privacy/
1. Description and scope of data processing
We use the Facebook pixel to place target group-specific ads on Facebook (in particular job ads) and to measure conversions. This is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). This tool allows us to track the behaviour of users after they click on a Facebook ad and are redirected to the website of the advertising or promoted company. Conversion measurement allows the measurement, evaluation, and optimisation of the effectiveness of Facebook ads for reasons of statistics and market research.
The personal data collected is transmitted to Facebook by the Facebook pixel and processed by Facebook for the purpose of conversion measurement. Facebook may provide us with anonymised reports on conversion measurement. It cannot be ruled out that Facebook will link the transmitted personal data with other personal data, e.g., from an existing Facebook account, or that Facebook will use corresponding data for further purposes of its own.
Furthermore, it cannot be ruled out that the data is transmitted to unsafe third countries such as the U.S.
Integrating the Facebook pixel allows us to place target group-oriented ads on Facebook.
The Facebook pixel is also used to display Facebook ads to people with whom we have already been in contact (“retargeting”).
If you click on a Facebook ad, a cookie for conversion tracking will be stored on your computer.
If you access our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we will be able to recognise that you have clicked on the ad and were thus redirected to our website. Facebook as the service provider will receive this information as well.
2. Legal basis for data processing
Processing will only take place if consent has been granted. You grant such consent by making a declaration in our cookie banner, which is displayed to you, among other things, when you first access the website.
The legal basis for processing personal user data is Article 6 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent).
Transfers of personal data to unsafe third countries are made on the basis of consent pursuant to Article 49 (1) lit. a GDPR (consent) and on the basis of EU standard contractual clauses.
3. Purpose of data processing
The purpose of data processing is to measure, evaluate, and optimise the effectiveness of Facebook ads for reasons of statistics and market research.
Another purpose is to display Facebook ads to people with whom we have already been in contact (“retargeting”).
4. Duration of storage
You can find out how long cookies are stored in the overview of cookies used on this website.
General information on Facebook’s data processing can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. For specific information and details on the Facebook pixel and its operation, please refer to Facebook’s Help Center at https://www.facebook.com/business/help/651294705016616.
5. Withdrawal and elimination options
If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse to give your consent when you first access our website. You can also subsequently withdraw your consent.
1. Description and scope of data processing
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag from LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (“LinkedIn”) to place target group-specific ads on LinkedIn (in particular job ads) and for conversion measurement.
The LinkedIn Insight Tag allows the collection of data on website visits, including URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser properties (user agent), and timestamp. IP addresses are shortened or hashed (if used to reach members across devices). The tool allows us to track the behaviour of users after they click on a LinkedIn ad and are redirected to the website of the advertising or promoted company. Conversion measurement allows the measurement, evaluation, and optimisation of the effectiveness of LinkedIn ads for reasons of statistics and market research.
The personal data collected is transmitted to LinkedIn by the LinkedIn Insight Tag and processed by LinkedIn for the purpose of conversion measurement. LinkedIn may provide us with anonymised reports on conversion measurement. It cannot be ruled out that LinkedIn may link the transmitted personal data with other personal data, e.g., from an existing LinkedIn account. LinkedIn also uses data that does not identify you to improve the relevance of ads and to reach members across devices. It is not excluded that LinkedIn uses corresponding data for further purposes of its own.
The integration of the LinkedIn Insight Tag allows us to place target group-oriented ads on LinkedIn and to obtain real-time information about the professional goals and preferred content of the website visitors.
It cannot be ruled out that the data is transmitted to insecure third countries such as the U.S.
The LinkedIn Insight Tag is also used to display LinkedIn ads to people with whom we have already been in contact (“retargeting”).
If you click on a LinkedIn ad, a cookie for conversion tracking will be stored on your computer.
If you access our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we will be able to recognise that you have clicked on the ad and were thus redirected to our website. LinkedIn as the service provider will receive this information as well.
LinkedIn removes the direct identifiers of the members within seven days in order to pseudonymise the data. LinkedIn then deletes this remaining pseudonymised data within 90 days.
General information on the processing of data by LinkedIn can be found in LinkedIn’s privacy policy at https://de.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
5. Withdrawal and elimination options
If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse to give your consent when you first access our website. You can also subsequently withdraw your consent.
If your personal data are processed, you will be considered a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR and have the following rights against the controller:
1. Right of access, rectification, erasure, limitation of data processing, revocation of consent, data portability
Each data subject has the right of access in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR, the right to rectification according to Art. 16 GDPR, the right to erasure according to Art. 17 GDPR, the right to limitation of processing according to Art. 18 GDPR, and the right to data portability according to Art. 20 GDPR.
The right of access and the right to erasure shall be subject to the limitations set out in Sections 34 and 35 of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG). In addition, you have the right to appeal to a competent data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR in conjunction with Section 19 BDSG).
You can revoke your consent to the processing of personal data granted to us at any time. This also applies to the revocation of declarations of consent granted to us before the GDPR coming into effect, i.e., before 25 May 2018. Please note that the revocation only has effect for the future. Processing carried out before the revocation takes place is not affected.
Moreover, you have the right according to Art. 22 GDPR not to be subject to fully automated decision-making. We generally do not use fully automated decision-making for the establishment, implementation and termination of a business relationship. If we use these procedures in individual cases (e.g., to improve our products and services), we will inform you about this separately and about your rights concerning this provided that this is laid down in law.
The same applies to any visit of our online offerings and the collection of user data. Without collecting user data, we and our service providers are unable to provide you with our online offerings.
For more information and explanations with regards to the above-mentioned rights, please see the website “Rights for citizens” of the European Commission.
